Ethnodrama is not only a means of communicating people’s stories, it may also be a method of interpreting data and of deepening inquiry into a particular realm of social life that may complement other methods of investigation (Feldman, 2005; Turner, 1986). This autoethnography discusses my efforts to use the process of dramatizing data for performance (Mienczakowski, 1995; Saldaña, 2011) to understand the stories of a teacher I interviewed and, in turn, to use that understanding to shape my artistic choices. An excerpt from the show is included in the appendix.
