Abstract

New players and organizations in the teaching and learning space have accelerated the pace of change in the education space. Moreover, technological innovations have created new opportunities to advance alternatives configuration of the education sector. The dominant publishing paradigms in higher education for examining and reporting on the shifting learning landscape cannot keep pace with this rapid change. New Learning Times by EdLab at Teachers College Columbia University provides an alternative communication model for illustrating emerging opportunities in education that make learning more accessible, less costly, and more powerful by featuring curated and aggregated content optimized for mobile devices.
