The purpose of this study aimed to investigate whether individual’s experiences in all school subjects were stable and which situational factors in a course episode were of the most related to the flow experience. A total 146 5th graders completed the study. We collected data through the day reconstruction method (DRM). The findings show that the flow experience perceived by an individual is cognitive and emotional optimal but also leads to successful outcomes in achievement and psychological wellbeing. For implication, teachers could elicit optimal experience in the class by conducting instructional activities more toward seeking balance between task challenges and students’ competence, providing clear goals and explicit associations with students’ personal importance, and asking students’ focus and encourage autonomy.
