Abstract

Tom Moher's group uses embedded and mobile technologies to broaden classroom learners' access to natural (Neighborhood Safari), simulated (Embedded Phenomena), and enacted (Hunger Games) objects of scientific inquiry, and, with University of Toronto colleague Jim Slotta, to foster the collaborative construction of knowledge around those phenomena in learning communities (Knowledge Communities in Instrumented Classrooms)
