• In Event: Designing Teacher Evaluation and Support Systems: New Guidance for Educators and Policy Makers Emerging From the Measures of Effective Teaching Study

Abstract

The Measures of Effective Teaching Project launched in 2009 with an ambitious set of goals and research activities. Five years later we look back at the project’s original goals, describe what we’ve learned to date as well as our emerging or persisting questions, provide context for the exciting original research to be presented in this session and in the forthcoming research volume, and share new thinking from the project’s leaders about the direction of future research and tools intended to support the fields development and implementation of more rigorous teacher evaluation and support systems.
