Abstract

Dr. Lucas is the Co-Director of the Centre for Real-World Learning and Professor of Learning at the University of Winchester. He is also Chairman of The UK’s Talent Foundation, Chairman of TLO Ltd., a senior visiting research fellow at the University of Surrey’s School of Management, a non-Executive Director of the Live Group, and a patron of Pegasus Theatre in Oxford. He was previously the first CEO of the Campaign for Learning. Dr. Lucas currently runs his own learning strategy business, the Bill Lucas Partnership, and he is the co-author of a new book with Guy Claxton and Ellen Spencer called Expansive Education (2013). He is also the first author of an OECD working paper titled Progressions in Student Creativity in School: First Steps Towards New Forms of Formative Assessment (2012). Dr. Lucas will discuss assessment of creativity efforts in the UK.
