Abstract

For over a half-century, studies of school improvement efforts in secondary education have yielded very modest results. The High Reliability (HR) programme offers a strikingly more optimistic set of results, as this paper will outline. It will look at the empirical evidence and offer some insights into the transferability of HR principals to other contexts and countries.
