Abstract

This session will overview and provide discussion of a selection of four papers with various perspectives building on the theme of “The Power of Education Research for Innovation in Practice and Policy.” The authors will provide an overview of the research basis for selected standard practices in their particular fields, consider what constitutes effective practice, describe accepted practices of instruction, and consider a variety of approaches to innovation in learning and school improvement, with specific suggestions for how organizations (SEAS, LEAs) can use the research to improve learning.
