Abstract
How are EFL teachers prepared in teacher education programs in Asia? In this panel presentation, we discuss the knowledge, competence, and performance that EFL teachers need to teach in the context of globalization and present analyses of pre-service EFL teacher education programs in three Asian countries--China, South Korea, and Vietnam.
