Session Type: Symposium
This symposium gives an overview of the upcoming second edition of the Handbook of Classroom Management, including a description of the book’s organization and a preview of chapter contents. The symposium will continue the tradition established by the first Handbook of Classroom Management, helping to organize the field and to identify important lines of inquiry. Presenters will include authors of selected chapters on bullying, special education, urban settings, and teacher-student relationships. Information about trends in the field as well as new topics included in the Handbook, including chapters on interpersonal and communication skills, research on music classrooms, physical education, Tier 2 & 3 interventions, and additional methodological topics will also be of particular interest to researchers.
