Developing a Research Agenda for Cross-Professional Development

Abstract

This interactive symposium will examine different models (including best practices) for research in faculty development across the professions. A panel of experts representing a range of professions will respond to a series of questions, and then engage the audience in discussion, to set an agenda for future research and collaboration. Focus questions include: assessing the long-term impact of our programs; models of faculty development across the professions to foster communities of practice; networking; and identifying characteristics of enabling organizational structures or cultures to support the 'next generation' of professional development programming.
