Session Type: Symposium
Education across international contexts directly impacts local realities based on broad reaching educational policy that is continuously being “reformed”. The purpose of policy reform often has implications for educators and the educational experience of students based on priorities beyond education policy. Practice based on educators’ experience can be employed to rethink how policy is created and implemented for the training of preservice teachers and the benefit of in-service teachers. This symposium will explore how policy across international contexts influences the lived experience of educators and educational settings through international cross-cultural experiences. The goal is to engage in discussion that will advance the rethinking of international education in terms of access and impact.
