Entrepreneurship in Education: An Academic Debate

Abstract

Bringing together a panel of experts, the proposed symposium intends to advance understanding in how entrepreneurial ventures can transform the education landscape. Its goal is a thorough academic discussion about the benefits and drawbacks of entrepreneurial initiatives and their potential knowledge-driven economic and social impacts.

Where is the education field headed and how can its stakeholders become more entrepreneurial? How do we build a competitive knowledge-based economy based on entrepreneurial initiatives? What policy implications result from a more entrepreneurial, innovation-driven arena - both on a micro and a macro level? These are some of the questions the panel intends to explore and discuss with the AERA audience.
