Teacher educators are a necessary part of a complete understanding of diversity efforts in teacher education. More often than not, teacher educators are discussed in relationship to what we what should be doing to prepare teachers for diverse K-12 students. Less reported are teacher educators' in-common diversity course experiences, identity implications, and the effects of institutional issues and education reform initiatives that influence who teacher educators are and what they (are able to) do. This series of presentations explores various dimensions of diversity utilizing Multicultural Teacher Education, Queer theory, and/or Social Justice frameworks to expand current research focused on preparing teachers by examining teacher educators doing this work. Implications for teacher education coursework, programs, and institutions are shared.
