Session Type: Symposium
This symposium brings together an international group of scholars whose works have documented what has been described as a “moral vacuum” in teacher education research and practice (Sanger & Osguthorpe, 2013). Adding to this body of research, the session provides a unique opportunity for these scholars to probe the international nature of this moral vacuum and its causes, and to discuss research innovations, along with policies and practices, that can address those causes across international contexts.

The Moral Vacuum: What Do the Latest U.S. Standards, Research, and Policy Reports Tell Us? - Matthew N. Sanger, Idaho State University; Richard D. Osguthorpe, Boise State University
