Abstract
La Clase Mágica: Generating Transworld Pedagogy forges multiple lines of theory and practice to address one of the greatest challenges to education in the 21st century: Educating the increasing diversity in the classroom and society. It situates teacher preparation and a new pedagogy as the focal point of a comprehensive approach to how we do an education to meet the social, cultural, technical, and ethical demands of a world in motion. Generating Transworld Pedagogy highlights the affordances of mobile devices and other forms of multi-media in facilitating a pedagogy that prepares youth as well as teacher candidates to negotiate their own cultural knowledge, history, and identity as well as those of the broader society as transworld citizens.
