Latina/o Voices in Higher Education: New Perspectives Throughout the Pipeline

Abstract

This panel-formatted symposium will examine different Latina/o populations throughout the educational pipeline. Panelists will share preliminary results from qualitative research on Latina/o transfer students, Latino men in advanced, professional, and doctoral degree programs, Latina community college faculty, and Latina community college trustees, respectively. Session attendees will engage with the panelists, the chair, and discussant to create a rich dialogue on the changing landscape of higher education for Latinas/os throughout the education pipeline. This symposium will contribute to the conversation on the experiences of multiple Latina/o subgroups throughout the educational pipeline.
