The Division K Fireside Chat will reflect the conference theme and address current issues surrounding teacher education research and policy. The panelists have a range of research interests and utilize local, national, and international perspectives on their work in teacher education. The discussion will develop around key research and policy topics in teacher education today, such as teaching diverse learners, preparing high-quality teachers, implementing clinically-rich teacher education programs, and addressing teacher evaluation and accountability policies. Scholars will share their expertise on teacher education research and policy – including how research informs policy – as well as provide graduate student participants with insight into pursuing their own research agendas in teacher education.
