Language Complexity and Educational Access: Contributions of Educational Research

Abstract

The purpose of this session is to bring to the fore the discussion of what educational research contributes to understanding, studying, and reconceptualizing diversity through the lenses of language and educational access. By bringing together expert researchers and practitioners from the areas of assessment design and development, psychometrics, as well as ethnographic and discourse based perspective, this session seeks to create opportunities for dialogue across epistemological and ontological standpoints.
