Counterhegemonic Activism in an Age of Hyperaccountability and Neoliberalism

Abstract

This session brings together activists, including some working in the Philadelphia area, to speak about the their counter-hegemonic practices in response to community needs and the multiple vulnerabilities embodied in youth/children and their families. The focus of the session is on action and social justice, collectivity and multiple voices in the face of oppression, silencing and marginalization. An opportunity for exchange and interactive dialogue will follow brief presentations by each panel member.
