Graduate Student Networking Opportunity With Special Interest Groups

Abstract

Special Interest Groups (SIGs) provide a forum within AERA for the involvement of individuals drawn together by a common field of interest when the existing divisional structure may not directly facilitate such activity. SIGs are an excellent avenue for graduate students to make connections, build mentorships, and strengthen professional relationships. Graduate students also benefit from the special awards and unique leadership opportunities that are offered by many SIGs. Officers of AERA's many SIGs have been invited to share relevant information during this session. Come to meet them, learn about SIGs in general, and explore the particular SIGs that may be right for you. Light refreshments (food) will be served.
