Abstract

Every three years since the 1969 AERA Annual Meeting in Los Angeles, a session of the Triennial Travesties has been included on the annual AERA program. Committed to the non-serious scrutiny of educational inquiry, while focusing formidably on foible-detection in that field, presenters (known as “Travestites”) strive to amuse without the benefit of performance-enhancing drugs, either for themselves or for most members of the audience.
