Session Type: Invited Session
Many programs prepare students to enter traditional academic positions, however few provide examples of or training in less obvious career paths. This panel will feature individuals who shape organizations that thrive on evaluating evidence and building partnerships. As such, attendees will hear about challenges and successes related to running and working in organizations that bring together research, policy, and practice in their daily work. Further, advice and information about how to create and secure these types of organizations and positions will be shared. A large part of the session will be informal questioning from attendees to allow for discussion of both the philosophical and practical aspects of this type of work.
