Abstract

This seminar will provide an opportunity for graduate students to interact with distinguished researchers on topics related to completing their degrees and moving into the job market, along with the knowledge and skills that will be needed for success in areas of methodological research, application, and assessment in the future. Panelists will also be reading their own letters to their “professional younger selves” to reflect their advice to those beginning a career in this field, what they wish they would have known, the reassuring words that would have been helpful, and the unexpected occurrences that they could have better planned for (or not). The session includes a continental breakfast and opportunities for interaction with panelists in an informal environment.
