Abstract

Educational researchers and measurement experts employ various techniques to ensure that assessment instruments are appropriate for the intended audience and measure the desired constructs. During this session four papers will be presented that examine the measurement properties, item analysis, and instrument development techniques used to develop measures of learning in the United States, Germany, and Chile.
