Abstract

This symposium honors the work of Elliot W. Eisner, former AERA President, renowned curriculum scholar, and distinguished art educator. For more than three decades, Eisner stood at the center of moving qualitative inquiry from the margins to the mainstream of education research. Tirelessly, his voice urged researchers to ask fundamental questions about their work: What counts as evidence? To what ends should research contribute? How shall we foster innovation?
