GRE revised General Test scores provide important information regarding the abilities and skills of graduate school applicants. The validity and utility of these scores depend upon the degree to which the scores forecast performance in specific contexts. This study assessed the predictive validity of GRE scores specifically for students enrolled in Master of Business Administration (MBA) programs, and is the first study of the GRE revised General Test for this student population. We used two-level hierarchical linear models to estimate regression models for first-semester MBA GPA or cumulative MBA GPA as the dependent variable, and GRE scores and undergraduate GPA as independent variables. Results showed that both GRE-Q and GRE-V scores were statistically significant predictors of both outcome measures.
