Secondary Teachers' Experiences With Technology-Enhanced Multimedia Language Instruction

Abstract

Previous research shows that the development of technology has benefits for foreign language learning that is changing towards technology-enhanced environments. Even though teachers have access to technology in schools, only a few are using technology to its full potential when planning instruction. The purpose of this phenomenological study was to describe the experiences of secondary foreign language teachers who are experts in technology-enhanced multimedia instruction. The study concluded that technology-enhanced multimedia increased motivation, reinforced creativity, gave students ownership for learning and provided access to cultural and language resources. The study has implications for educators, faculty, administrators and policy makers
