Power Analyses for Multilevel Mediation

Abstract

Closed form analytic expressions of the test statistics for multilevel mediation are developed. In turn, we show how researchers can use these expressions to estimate the power or probability with which we can detect multilevel mediation effects if they exist under different scenarios to assist in the planning and design of multilevel mediation studies.
