Abstract

Mainstream teachers in Europe not adequately prepared to address the increasing cultural and linguistic diversity of the public school population due to economic and political migration. This study investigated the components of a teacher training course in multicultural education in Finland and how they impacted teacher candidates’ knowledge and skills to address the needs of learners from diverse backgrounds.
