LGBTQ Resource Availability and Demand at Two-Year Institutions

Abstract

Drawing on over 900 survey responses and 12 semi-structured interviews with current or former community college students, we explore the availability and demand of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans* and Queer (LGBTQ) specific resources at two-year institutions. Results show that considerably fewer resources are available to this student population but the resources do exist strongly support the academic, social and psychological well-being of students.
