This study investigated the relationship between personality traits, work stress, and job satisfaction, as well as the mediating effect of career resilience. The research proposed a structural model of work stress and job satisfaction. The study was based on cultural transactional model of stress and coping. Data collected by The Professional Worker Career Experience Survey was used. The result showed that work stress 1) is directly affected by personality traits, 2) has significant relationship with personality traits, mediated by risk-taking and dependency in career resilience, and 3) has negative relationship with job satisfaction. It is argued that multi-factor research is needed to help develop effective stress interventions in organizations.
