Sun, April 19, 8:15 to 9:45am, Hyatt, Floor: East Tower - Purple Level, Riverside West

Abstract

Through a Cooperative Agreement with the US Department of Education-Office of Special Education Programs (OSEP), the objective of the University of Hawaii-Manoa (UHM) College of Education (COE) Project Laulima (Laulima in Hawaiian language means, “to bring together”) grant is to merge the undergraduate Bachelor of Education in Elementary with the Bachelor of Education in Special Education.
The program evaluation is considered one of the major goals of Project Laulima, and is thus afforded its own domain in the project. The evaluation is comprehensive in that all aspects of the merged program are assessed and data collected is reported to project administrators to base decisions and improve practice. This presentation will share preliminary evaluation findings from Project Laulima.
