This qualitative study investigates the implementation of the Olweus Bullying Prevention Program (OBPP) in a single, rural school enrolling students from mainly middle socioeconomic status. Based on school observations and semi-structured interviews, this study presents an insider’s view of the successes and challenges associated with implementing a bullying prevention program. Using Bronfenbrenner’s Social Ecology framework, this study seeks to discover and explicate unique factors that affected student behaviors. The results of this study seek to provide insight and evidence for other schools and districts to reduce the incidence and impact of bullying for students.
