This qualitative study explores culturally responsive practices in partnerships between faith-based organizations and public schools. The goals of the study included understanding how the mission of the organizations influenced their partnerships, how they had changed over time, and identifying the partnerships’ characteristics in reference to culturally appropriate practices, including those dealing with religious diversity. The study also focused on identifying possible tensions inherent in the partnerships and how these tensions were addressed.
