This paper braids together three autobiographical tales answering Ng-A-Fook's (2012) challenge to re-envision the boundaries between home/school space. Writing simultaneously as mothers and academics, the authors argue that there is a particular reciprocity between diverse maternal experiences and education as an academic field. Drawing on their personal narratives, the authors argue for acknowledging the reciprocity between home/school space as part of the curriculum. The work of raising children, they argue, should not be done covertly.
