Abstract

Capturing the factors in the decline of social foundations of education (SFE) and the resuscitation of the field is the focus of this work. To document the history, we chose to interview leading scholars of SFE with extensive careers in the field. Analysis of scholars’ work within SFE ensures their contributions remain vibrant to today's historical moment, especially as accountability mandates threaten schools of education.
