Abstract

This proposed paper draws upon on two instrumental case studies of academy-industry-school relationships and addresses the partnership, especially with regards to the classroom teacher’s program implementation and pedagogical decisions. Findings from the cross-case analysis suggest that the partnerships included an imbalanced focus on the industry-based product, which not only marginalized pedagogy and educators’ practices, but also created challenges for technology integration. This session includes a heuristic to support academy-industry-school research that includes classroom fieldwork and honors pedagogy and practice.
