A Self-Study of the Accreditation Process: What We Have Learned About Our Professional Development School Network and More

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to use the NCATE and State Accreditation process to examine our PDS Network and the impact of the work of our PDS partners. Using self-study methodology we examine the accreditation process on two targeted schools and use the other 7 sites as critical friends to guide us. We focus on three areas in this study including the use of self-study methods to learn more about the process and product of the PDS role in the accreditation process, how PDS partners experience their role in the accreditation process and using the results of the combined State and NCATE visit to improve our PDS work as measured by State PDS Standards.
