An Array of Advanced Mixed-Analysis Approaches

Abstract

Several authors have written methodological works that provide an introductory- and/or intermediate-level guide to conducting mixed analyses. Although all of these works have been useful for beginning and emergent mixed researchers, what is lacking are works that describe and illustrate advanced-level mixed analysis approaches. Thus, Onwuegbuzie and Hitchcock (2014) provided a framework for conducting advanced-level mixed analysis approaches. In the present article, we build on Onwuegbuzie and Hitchcock’s (2014) work by providing exemplars of advanced-level mixed analysis approaches. We outline three advanced quantitative-dominant crossover mixed analyses, three advanced qualitative-dominant crossover mixed analyses, and one advanced equal-status crossover mixed analyses. Most of these mixed analyses previously have not been discussed in the literature, illustrating the significance and innovation of our article.
