This paper explores transnational religious literacy practices in immigrant families across a three-year period. Drawing on apprenticeship theories (Rogoff, 1994), we focus specifically on the ways in which religious practices are supported and extended through transnational networks in immigrant families. The data presented in this paper reveals the fluid and adaptive ways in which transnational practices intersect with traditional religious practices. The transnational movement of religious texts and practices provides a valuable and informative view into the ways young children are apprenticed into these practices.
