Self-study methodology and Charles Dickens’ reflection of the self in three parts, past, present, and future (Strahan & Wilson, 2006), framed this study which strived to answer reflective questions such as the following. As a Technology Instructional Specialist who coaches teachers, how do I positively impact those around me and how can I modify my actions to have an effective impact on other’s professional practice? What epiphanies result because of this research? How can I share my unique research findings about my own pedagogical introspection with a larger research or practitioner community? These questions guided this comparison of the self with instructional theory, current staff development research, and Theory of Diffusion of Innovation (Rogers, 2003).
