Through developmental evaluation we determined if students attending an International Student Program (ISP) through the continuing education department at a US university fit the same profile as those who are enrolling in degree programs, whether students attending this program are satisfied with their experiences, and if any factors predict their overall satisfaction and academic success. Students enrolling in the ISP originate predominantly from Northern European nations, which is in contract to the demographics of those seeking degrees. Overall international students were satisfied with their experiences in the program, but that region (Europe vs. Asia) was a predictor of academic success. This study has implications those seeking ways to make study abroad a richer experience for both domestic and international students.
