Policies and Practices to Support Equity for Transgender Students

Abstract

Transgender issues are emerging in frequency and significance in our society, and are subsequently becoming increasingly common topics in our schools. This paper examines legal, societal and educational implications of transgender issues, including recent legislative developments and viewpoints on best educational policies and practices. Recommendations on curriculum and policy are offered.
