Schools increasingly struggle to meet the mental health needs of their students. While teachers may be well-positioned to identify and support students with mental health needs, many do not have the necessary knowledge or training to do so. We will present results from a pilot study of a classroom-level continuous feedback method designed to provide college instructors with immediate data about their students’ mental health. Nine college instructors and 57 students participated in the study. We will demonstrate the feedback method and provide preliminary results. Implications will be discussed for future research on instructor knowledge of student mental health, feedback systems in K-12 settings, and the effect of student engagement on intervention success.
