One of the core tenants of a fair and balanced assessment is that data should emanate from multiple sources. The School System Improvement (SSI) Project was developed based on the application of that core tenant to the determination of teacher effectiveness. The SSI Project evaluates educators using multiple observational systems, including the Classroom Strategies Scale, the Danielson Framework for Teaching, and the Instructional Learning Opportunities Guidance System. The current study incorporates video coding and a multi-trait, multi-method matrix to examine the relations among scores from these measures. Findings inform a contemporary educator evaluation system that values the process of teaching as highly as it values the outcome of student learning.
