The research described in this paper is Part II of a three-part series to describe the development and validation of student feedback model instruments. Students provided their perceptions of teacher classroom practices; these practices are aligned to Massachusetts’ Standards and Indicators of Effective Teaching. Beginning in 2014–2015, student feedback will join artifacts of practice and observational feedback as evidence in teacher evaluation. The Rasch construct validity framework (Wolfe & Smith, 2007b) proved productive in developing the instruments. Evidence is provided for four of the six validity aspects (content, substantive, generalizability, structural) needed to support the instruments’ (G3-G5 and G6-G12) construct validity. The instrument data will be used to provide diagnostic information to support teachers’ professional growth and development.
