Using an Ecological Approach to Understand Latina/o College Students' Mental Health

Abstract

We investigated the contributions of individual, interpersonal, and institutional factors on Latina/o college students’ mental health. Participants included 143 Latina/o students enrolled at a university in the southwestern United States. College self-efficacy and search for meaning in life were significant predictors of mental health. We provide implications for counselors and researchers.
