Computational thinking (CT) is being pursued in various manners within K-12 schools. While emphasis has been placed on student acquisition of CT knowledge, more work is needed to understand how teachers are thinking about CT. This report details the conceptual thinking of 90 teachers. Overall, slightly more than two-thirds of the teachers are conceptualizing CT in ways that are richer than simply the programming patterns they investigated. Teachers are seeing more depth to CT, as a way to model real-world phenomena. In addition, more than a quarter of the teachers specifically mention how CT can be brought into other subject areas outside of computer programming.
