The purpose of this research is to understand faculty perceptions about innovation in teaching and technology in a college of education in a large Southeastern university. This study used a mixed methods research design involving qualitative and quantitative descriptive data involving an online survey followed by a sorting activity using the Q methodology. The results indicate a disconnect between the faculty perceptions of their own value and pleasure of being innovative in their teaching and their perceptions of others who are in positions of authority over them. Results also showed four emerging profiles about how faculty perceive innovation in teaching and technology.
